Although some country specific extension can only be assign depending on where the registration is done, there are some web hosting providers that are now offering to register foreigh extension like .co.uk or .co.cn. no matter where you are running business.
If you can't find an appropriate domain name available in the .com extension, consider adopting extensions like .net, .biz, .us or .name, is more likely to find a wider selection available in these extensions. You can also backorder domains so in case that any of the ones you want expires, or is cancelled by the registrant and becomes available, the web hosting provider can try to grab it for you, but besides this has a cost, it could take time and there is always the possibility that the owner never releases the domain name. |
